Dakota Crash Leeds Bradford Airport

On this day in 1965 Leeds Bradford Airport witnessed an air crash involving a Dakota.  The Dakota aircraft had 28 passengers and crew on board when disaster struck.  the aircraft left the runway and crashed through barriers as it came in to land.  Faulty brakes were found to be the cause of the accident which thankfully saw all onboard survive and uninjured.  The aircraft was damaged with its propellers smashed off.
